Frontline Plus Cats and Dogs Flea Control
What is Frontline Plus?
Frontline Plus is a monthly flea preventative that kills 100% of adult fleas on your pet within 18 hours and 100% of all ticks within 48 hours. Frontline Plus contains an insect growth regulator which kills flea eggs and larvae. Keeps your pet flea and tick free for 1 month. It is waterproof and gentle enought to use on puppies and kittens 8 weeks of age or older. Available in 3 and 6 Month doses.
How Frontline Plus Works
Frontline Plus is a monthly treatment that is applied to the back of your dog or cats neck. Frontline Plus contains fipronil. Fipronil is an insecticide that effects the nervous system of fleas and ticks. Frontline Plus also contains S-Methoprene. S-Methoprene is an insect growth regulator that inhibits the maturation of flea eggs and larvae. Once Frontline Plus is applied to the dog or cat it is absorbed into the sebaceous glands and is wicked out of the hair follicles. Frontline Plus provides long-lasting, waterproof protection.
Frontline Plus Precautions
Dogs and Cats may experience temporary irritation at the application site. If the irritation persists or becomes severe after application pleas consult your pets veterinarian immediately.
How to Apply Frontline Plus
Frontline Plus Dogs
Frontline Plus Dogs can be used on dogs and puppies 8 weeks or older. Frontline Plus for Dogs is available for many different sizes of dogs.
- .67ml applicator for dogs 8 weeks of age up to 22 lbs (orange packaging)
- 1.34 ml applicator for dogs 23 to 44 lbs (blue packaging)
- 2.68 ml applicator for dogs 45 to 88 lbs (purple packaging)
- 4.02 ml applicator for dogs 89 to 132 lbs (red packaging)
Frontline Plus for Dogs is waterproof. However, please allow 24 hours to fully dry before your dog is expsed to swimming or bathing.
Do not reapply for 30 days.
Place the applicator tip to the skin level between the shoulder blades of your dog or puppy. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot to the dogs skin.
Use only one applicator per treatment.
Frontline Plus Cats
Frontline Plus Cats can be used on cats and kittens 8 weeks or older. Frontline Plus for Cats comes in only one size.
- .5 ml applicator for all cats 8 weeks of age and older.
Frontline Plus for Cats is waterproof. However, please allow 24 hours to fully dry before your cat is expsed to water.
Do not reapply for 30 days.
Place the applicator tip to the skin level between the shoulder blades of your cat or kitten. Apply the entire contents of the applicator in a single spot to the cats skin.
Use only one applicator per treatment.
CAUTION
Frontline Plus for Cats contains different concentration of active ingredients that Frontline Plus for Dogs. DO NOT APPLY FRONTLINE PLUS FOR DOGS TO CATS.
