Nobivac® Canine Flu H3N8 from Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health has been shown to boost antibody titers to canine influenza virus (CIV) by 5-fold following two 1-mL doses given at least 2 weeks apart. An annual revaccination with one dose is recommended. In addition, the vaccine has been shown to protect dogs against CIV infection by significantly decreasing clinical signs, reducing viral shedding, and reducing CIV-induced lung consolidation. The safety of this vaccine has been confirmed after a year of clinical use in half a million dogs.
